The Handball Alley used to be located at the location of the old soccer club or where the new town centre is being built. It was built by local people in 1913/1914.
It was controversially demolished by Fingal County Council in September 1999 who cited the reason as the structure being dangerous.
The old plaque on the wall of the alley is now installed in The Round Towers GAA clubhouse in Lusk.
Also a link to a short two minute video by the Lusk Heritage Group on the history of the ball alley, narrated by the dulcet tones of Mrs Pat Kelly.
Thanks again to the wonderful work done by the Lusk Heritage Group in preserving our heritage.
